I know that the business plans are coming, but here are the facts I found yesterday(6/17/09):

1. VPN tunneling was not blocked on the HN7000 series modems, and worked, though slow.
2. VPN tunneling is blocked on the HN9000 series residential modems that are shipping with the .74 meter dishes, and there is no way to make VPN work with the HN9000 residential modems as they ship right now.
3. If your customer that has a broken HN7000 system needs VPN tunneling, and have suffered an equipment failure, to keep them happy, you are going to have to stay with the HN7000 product, repairing the equipment, not switching to the new HN9000.

My main goal for Pathfinders is keeping customers happy (happy customers pay their bills).  My reason for maintaining a dealership with RS&I and HughesNet has been that it was a quality product that worked. 

I am really sorry that it took me so long to dig out the facts on VPN Tunneling over HughesNet.  I wish that HughesNet would tell us concise detail like I have listed above.
